Coroplast Signs: These Coroplast Party Props Are Stellar!

Recently, we had the privilege of creating a set of party props and stage props for The Church of Our Lady Queen of Angels in Newport Beach, CA. The project was a truly stellar success, and we’re excited to share a behind-the-scenes look at the process.

Coroplast Signs: Printing on Coroplast Sheets

To achieve the best possible outcome for this project, we utilized 4mil coroplast sheets, also known as corrugated plastic. This lightweight and durable material is perfect for this type of application. With our state-of-the-art direct-to-substrate UV flatbed printer, we brought the characters to life, ensuring vibrant colors and impeccable detailing.

Custom Dye Cutting

After printing the characters on coroplast sheets, we used a custom dye cutting process to create intricate shapes and contours. This enhanced the overall visual appeal of the characters and made them stand out from the crowd.

Base Stands for Standing Tall

We understand the importance of versatility and practicality when it comes to event props. Therefore, in addition to the awe-inspiring characters, we designed and included sturdy base stands for each one. These stands offer stability, allowing the props to stand on their own. Whether they’re placed on a stage, in a hall, or outdoors, these party props will shine brightly and engage guests from all angles.

Results that are Out of this World

When the final product was complete, we were blown away by the results. The characters looked absolutely stunning, and the vibrant colors, precise cuts, and sturdy stands combined to create an ensemble that was truly out of this world.

How to Make Your Own Party Props and Stage Props Out of Coroplast

If you’re interested in making your own party props and stage props out of coroplast, here are a few tips:

  1. Choose the right coroplast sheets: Coroplast sheets come in a variety of thicknesses and colors. For most party props and stage props, we recommend using 4mil coroplast sheets. This thickness is lightweight and durable, making it easy to transport and set up.
  2. Design your characters. Once you have your coroplast sheets, it’s time to start designing your characters. You can use a variety of software programs to create your designs, such as Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop. If you’re not sure where to start, there are many online templates available that you can use.
  3. Print your characters. Once you’re happy with your designs, it’s time to print them out on your coroplast sheets. If you have a direct-to-substrate UV flatbed printer, you can print your characters directly onto the coroplast. If you don’t have a direct-to-substrate printer, you can print your designs onto vinyl and then apply the vinyl to the coroplast sheets.
  4. Cut out your characters. Once your characters are printed, it’s time to cut them out. You can use a variety of tools to cut out your characters, such as a utility knife, saw, or laser cutter. If you’re using a utility knife or saw, be sure to use a sharp blade and cut slowly and carefully to avoid mistakes.
  5. Attach base stands. If you want your characters to be able to stand on their own, you can attach base stands to the bottom of them. You can use a variety of materials to create base stands, such as wood, metal, or plastic. Be sure to choose a material that is strong enough to support the weight of your characters.
